All you Need to Know about the Upcoming Friends Reunion

Most of us have grown up watching or rather obsessing over the fiercely popular, timeless American TV show Friends. After the final curtain call, fans have been waiting quite impatiently for another season or perhaps some sort of a reunion of all the cast members at some platform.

And, last year, after a sixteen-year long break, the Friends cast did acknowledge that a reunion was on the cards for 2020. However, the Corona virus pandemic hit the entertainment industry pretty hard, and the reunion has been postponed for the time being. Now that fans have to wait a little longer for the coveted reunion, here is everything you need to know about it.

Special New Episode of Friends will not be Releasing in May 2020:

Fans were delighted when it was announced that Friends’ cast will be shooting a special, unscripted episode and it will be aired on HBO Max in May 2020. However, this plan has changed now considering the industry is currently experiencing lock down and shootings have temporarily been paused.

Friends Reunion will Take Place at the Same Location:

Everything will be kept the same as it originally was in Friends, and this means we will be able to see the same apartment that we all adored so much back in the 90s. The location will be the same as well, that is, Warner Bros. studios, stage 24 in Burbank, California. Only die-hard fans would know the importance of this particular address.

You can be a Part of Friends Reunion:

Although filming of the special episode of Friends has been postponed, but the plan is still intact and the cast members have come up with an interesting new deal for their fans. Reportedly, an ‘All In Challenge’ has been set up to allow fans a chance to be part of the special show audience. By making a meager donation of $1, you can expect to actually see the show whenever its filming begins.

Competing for a Good Cause:

It is true that by entering the competition, you can win the chance to visit the sets of Friends special episode, and get free entry tickets for you and your buddies to check out Warner Bros studios. But, there is another great incentive to donate as much as you can since the money will be going to America’s Food Fund to feed those in need during the COVID-19 crisis.

HBO Max will Stream the Entire Friends Series:

Yes, that’s right. The newbie on your set top box HBO Max will be airing all ten seasons of Friends. In fact, the special show was basically planned to launch the series on the latest streaming platform HBO Max. But, that has to wait and HBO Max will be launched as planned. So, at least you can still watch the entire series right from the first to last episode while being quarantined.
